Monday 29th July | 2pm | Templewood Masterclass Meet this years Young Artists as they participate in a public masterclass with festival directors Ben Johnson and Tom Primrose. Admission Free Wednesday 31st July | 7.30pm The Southrepps Chorale In one of his final concerts with the choir he founded in 2011, Stephen Richards and the Southrepps Chorale perform the beautiful and tuneful ‘Requiem’ by John Rutter. The programme includes music by WIll Todd and Fauré's masterpiece ‘Cantique de Jean Racine’ £20 Thursday 1st August | 7.30pm The Seven Ages of Man In a specially devised programme of words and music, festival directors Ben Johnson and Tom Primrose are joined by the 2024 Young Artists to explore in song and poetry Shakespeare’s famous passage from As You Like It, in which the life of a man is divided into seven stages. £20 Friday 2nd August | 12.30pm Benjamin Baker, violin. Festival favourite Benjamin Baker returns for an innovative programme for solo violin. Bach’s legendary second Partita in D minor is fused with two powerful works by composers from Aotearoa, New Zealand. Karlo Margetic’s On an Imaginary Folk Song dives into a variety of challenging imaginative dimensions, while Gareth Farr’s thrilling Wakatipu tells the Maori story of the curious natural phenomenon that takes place in Lake Wakatipu, located in Aotearoa’s awe-inspiring Queenstown Lakes region. £15 Friday 2nd August | 7.30 Louis Schwizgebel, piano Louis Schwizgebel has been described as “a genuine virtuoso, a spirited young genius with real depth” (FonoForum). At the age of seventeen he won the Geneva International Music Competition and, two years later, the Young Concert Artists International Auditions in New York. In 2012 he won second prize at the Leeds International Piano Competition and in 2013 he became a BBC New Generation Artist. He performs regularly in recital and with the finest orchestras across the globe. He brings the music of Chopin and Debussy to what promises to be an unmissable recital. £20 Saturday 3rd August | 12.30pm Ben Johnson, tenor Louis Schwizgebel, piano The world of music and musicians is explored by regular collaborators Ben Johnson and Louis Schwizgebel. This specially devised recital includes songs by Schubert, Brahms, Wolf, Poulenc, Britten, Sullivan and more. £15 Saturday 3rd August | 7.30pm Brian O'Kane, cello Daniel Lebhardt, piano These renowned international artists both make a welcome return to Southrepps. Their programme includes works by Boulanger, Debussy, Beethoven and the E minor Sonata of Brahms. £20 Sunday 4th of August | 11.30am | Coffee Concert Benjamin Baker, violin Brian O'Kane, cello Daniel Lebhardt, piano The weeks chamber musicians join forces for the ever popular Coffee Concert £15 Sunday 4th August | 7.30 | Gala Concert Our ever-popular Michael J.
